Refund Policy
We trust our product and want you to trust it too. That is why we offer a clear refund guarantee, applicable to any buyer, with no tricks and no fine print.
In summary
7-day money-back guarantee
4Linking offers a 7-calendar-day money-back guarantee from the purchase date of any paid license (Starter, Pro, or Agency). During this period, you may request a full refund without needing to justify the reason.
The guarantee applies to all buyers equally: individual consumers and companies, whether resident in Spain, in the European Union, or in any other country. There are no distinctions based on customer type.
This guarantee is additional to any rights that current legislation, particularly Spanish and European consumer protection law, may recognize in your favor as a purchaser.
The refund is always 100% of the amount paid, including taxes. We do not apply deductions, administrative fees, or penalties of any kind.
Forgotten automatic renewals
Paid licenses renew automatically at the end of each annual License Period. Before each renewal, we send you an email notice with at least 15 days’ advance notice, indicating the charge date and amount.
We understand that this notice can sometimes go unnoticed, for example due to spam folders, a changed email address, or extended absence. That is why, in addition to the general 7-day guarantee, we apply a specific policy for renewals:
You may request a full 100% refund of a renewal charge if both of the following conditions are met:
- You request the refund within 7 calendar days following the date of the renewal charge.
- You have not activated the renewed license on any new Site, meaning you have not made use of the renewal period beyond what was already active.
After those 7 days, or if you have already activated the license on a new Site during the renewed period, the charge will be deemed consumed and no refund will be granted. Cancellation of renewal will remain available for future periods from your customer panel.
Preventive cancellation
The safest way to avoid an unwanted charge is to cancel automatic renewal from your customer panel on 4linking.com at any time before the renewal date. Cancellation is completed in a single step, without any need for justification, and keeps your license active until the end of the already paid period.
Cases in which a refund does not apply
In order to maintain a fair policy for all customers, a refund does not apply in the following cases:

| Claim submitted after initiating a chargeback with the bank or card issuer | No direct refund | The chargeback is handled by the issuing institution. We ask you to contact us before initiating a chargeback so that we can resolve it amicably. |
If you have any issue with your purchase, contact us first at legal@4linking.com. The vast majority of incidents are resolved quickly by email. Initiating a chargeback before giving us the opportunity to help may unnecessarily complicate the resolution.
How to request your refund
We have simplified the process as much as possible. There are no complicated forms or unnecessary questions:
- Write to us at legal@4linking.com Send an email to legal@4linking.com stating that you are requesting a refund. You do not need to justify the reason if you are within the 7-day period.
- Include the basic details of your purchase So that we can identify your order quickly, please indicate: full name, email used for the purchase, approximate purchase date, and, if you have it on hand, order number or license key.
- You will receive confirmation within 1–2 business days We will reply by email confirming that we have received your request and, if applicable, indicating the estimated processing time.
- The refund is processed within up to 14 business days Once the request is approved, the refund is processed within a maximum period of 14 business days through the original payment method, whether Stripe or PayPal. The time your bank takes to reflect it in your account may vary.
Refund method and timing
Same original payment method
The refund is always made to the same payment method used for the original purchase:
- If you paid by card via Stripe, the refund will be made to the same card.
- If you paid with PayPal, the refund will be made to the same PayPal account.
We do not issue refunds to alternative payment methods, such as bank transfer, another card, or another account, except in exceptional cases where the original method is no longer available and this has been expressly agreed in writing.
Actual timing you can expect
- 1–2 business days: our confirmation that we have received your request.
- Up to 14 business days: refund processing on our side, meaning the order is executed in Stripe or PayPal.
- 2–10 additional days: time your bank or financial institution may take to reflect the funds in your account. This depends on your bank, not on us.
If after 21 days from confirmation you still do not see the refund reflected in your payment method, contact us again at legal@4linking.com with the confirmation we sent you. We will help you track the transaction.
What happens after an approved refund
Once the refund is approved, the following effects occur:
- The license is deactivated immediately on the 4Linking licensing server. The plugin activations on your Sites are invalidated.
- The plugin enters read-only mode on the Sites where it was active, in accordance with the Plugin’s own license management system. Your knowledge bases, templates, and rules are not deleted; you simply will not be able to generate new content or modify paid-module settings.
- You lose access to updates and support for that license.
- You retain the installed code under the terms of the GPL license applicable to the PHP code of the Plugin.
You may purchase the Plugin again at any time if you change your mind, unless you have already received a refund previously under section 03.
Legal right of withdrawal (14 days)
As a European consumer, Legislative Royal Decree 1/2007, the General Law for the Protection of Consumers, grants you a 14-calendar-day right of withdrawal in distance purchases, including online purchases, in addition to any commercial guarantee offered by the seller.
However, this right has a specific exception for digital content delivered immediately. Under article 103.m of that Royal Decree, the right of withdrawal does not apply to the supply of digital content not provided on a tangible medium when:
- Performance has begun with your prior express consent, and
- You acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal when the download begins.
By purchasing the 4Linking Plugin and proceeding with its download, you expressly accept the start of the execution of the digital content and acknowledge that this implies the loss of the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, in accordance with the cited legal framework and the conditions detailed in the Legal Notice.
Although the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply due to the nature of the product, our 7-day commercial guarantee remains fully in force and is offered additionally and voluntarily. For most customers, this guarantee is easier to invoke than the legal right of withdrawal.
Free version of the Plugin
The Free edition of the 4Linking Plugin, distributed on WordPress.org under the GPL v2 or later license, is free of charge. Since no payment is made, there is no amount to refund.
If you have downloaded the Free version and are not satisfied, simply uninstall the Plugin from the WordPress panel. Your data, including knowledge bases, templates, and rules, will be completely deleted upon uninstallation, in accordance with the Plugin’s uninstall.php routine.
Special cases and amicable resolution
This policy covers the usual situations. If your case does not fit exactly into any of the above, for example severe unresolved technical issues, billing errors, duplicate charges, or exceptional personal situations, always contact us first at legal@4linking.com.
We review each case individually and always seek a reasonable resolution. Our goal is that no customer ends up feeling they have been treated unfairly.
Alternative dispute resolution
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 524/2013, consumers residing in the European Union may access the European Online Dispute Resolution Platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Modifications to this policy
This Refund Policy may be updated to reflect changes in regulations, in our internal processes, or in the integrated payment services. Any modification will be published on this same page, with the updated date in the header.
Modifications do not apply retroactively: purchases made before a change are governed by the policy in force at the time of purchase. When a change significantly affects customers with an active license, it will be notified by email with at least 30 days’ advance notice, as provided in the Terms and Conditions.
